Love is Costly

Love comes in a high price. A price that entails hurt, pain, despair and sadness. When you begin to love, that is when you are susceptible to being clobbered, rejected or abandoned.

Love... only when you are prepared to get hurt.

Wisdom in Loving

Even when in love, one must find happiness in oneself instead of expecting it to come exclusively from the other person or any external sources. Others can very much contribute to our happiness. The self, however, is always in the driver's seat if one has a healthy internal locus of control.
